21 Destiny Prayers

by Dr. Simi Adigun

Week 1

“For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”

(Psalm 139:13-14)

Day 1
Your Covenant with God

“Know therefore that the Lord thy God, He is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love Him and keep His commandments to a thousand generations.”
(Deuteronomy 7:9)

Heavenly Father, I (insert your name), make this covenant with you today (insert today’s date). I entrust my life to you, and I give back to you the freedom of choice that you gave me when you formed me in my mother’s womb. I pray that I will accomplish your purpose and plan for my life, according to what you have written in my book before the foundation of this world. I want to fulfill my destiny and purpose in you.

I declare that I will have no other God before you. I will only worship and bow down to you, and you will be my God. As I stand in your presence today in your throne room, on the sea of glass (Revelation 4:6), I gaze into your loving eyes and into your glory, I ask Father that you accomplish your will in my life. I am ready to fulfill my destiny and to take back anything and everything that was stolen from my destiny by the kingdom of darkness. I am ready to follow the Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit on this journey to claim back my divine inheritance and everything that was stolen from my bloodline, or that was traded by my ancestors and parents or anyone in my bloodline for wealth, power, or worldly treasures. You are a covenant-keeping God, and with you, all things are possible!

You said if I listen and obey, I will eat the good fruit of the land (Isaiah 1:19). When you make a covenant with us, you do not go back on your Word. You always fulfill your Word. I ask that as I surrender my life to you, and choose to follow you, worship you alone, listen to you and obey you, that you will remember the covenant that we made this day and look down from heaven when I call on you and let your face shine upon me. Keep me in the path of my destiny, and be my partner as we continue on this journey to accomplish all that you have written in my book before the foundation of this world.

I am now ready to claim the fruit of my land and my destiny. I am ready to fulfill your purpose and plan for my life according to what you have written in my scroll. This will be all for Your glory and the fulfillment of your Kingdom on Earth, in Jesus name.

Day 2

“I will praise you, Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever.” (Psalm 86:12)

Heavenly Father, as I continue the 21-day journey of prayer with you, I first want to express my gratitude and thanksgiving to you. You are the Unquestionable, Unchanging, and covenant-keeping, God. I thank you that my covenant with you is sure and certain. You never sleep or slumber. You are my keeper, my shade, and my confidant. I bow before you, Lord of Heaven’s Armies, and worship you with all my mind, soul, and strength. I want to thank you for my life, and all you have blessed me with. I want to show my gratitude to you by offering my sacrifice of praise to you.

I thank you for another journey that I am about to embark upon today as a child of God/life coach/counselor (select as relevant). Lord Jesus, you were a teacher, counselor, and coach to the disciples. I thank you that you have already equipped me for my daily task, and you promised that I would do greater works than what you did while you were here on earth (John 14:12).

I want to thank you for calling me to walk in your footsteps as a disciple/coach/counselor (select as relevant) and a partaker of the power and the victory of the cross over the kingdom of darkness. You alone are my Lord, my God, the Holy One, and there is no one like you! (John 14:12). I pray that I will make you proud in my career/ coaching/counseling (select as relevant) and in all areas of my life. I pray that your right hand of righteousness will uphold me and lift me up at all times. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but I choose to trust in the name of God Almighty (Psalm 20:7). Hallelujah!

Day 3
Go with Me and Be My Guide

Then Moses said to him, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?” (Exodus 33:15)

Heavenly Father, be my pillar of cloud by day and my pillar of fire by night to guide me in all my ways. As a Father watches and guides a child with his eyes and his words, guide me with your rod and your staff. I pray that you will be my compass and navigator, leading me with every step I take daily. Do not allow me to walk out of your path, your will, and calling for my life. Forgive me for every time I have gone against your will and instead followed my own rational thinking or other people’s ideas and decisions for my life. Destroy every stiff-necked behavior and hardness of heart in my life, and do not allow me to go outside of your radar and boundaries. Whatever may be causing a hindrance to my obedience to you, I pray that you will reveal to me so I can repent and change my ways in obedience to you.

Strip off from me any behavior or habit that is contrary to your will. Help me to find favor in your sight all the days of my life. Let your presence always go with me. I do not want to go on my life’s (coaching/counseling) journey if your presence does not go with me. You are the one who gives me the confidence to accomplish all I need to do. I pray that I will see you walking beside me every day, helping me overcome all obstacles in Jesus name.

Day 4
Fill Me with Your Holy Spirit without Measure

“For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit.” (John 3:34)

Heavenly Father, fill me with the fullness of your Holy Spirit. Your Holy Spirit is the revealer of all things, the Spirit of Creation, the Spirit that rose the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead, the Spirit of the Anointing, and the third person of the Trinity. Without the presence of your Holy Spirit and His Anointing in my life, my aspirations and goals would be the work of human effort.

With the involvement and intervention of your Holy Spirit in my work, I can achieve much greater things than what my human power could. My work will be much easier to accomplish each day because your Holy Spirit will be working through me.

Father, I pray that you will fill me with the fullness of your Holy Spirit to make wise decisions. Give me the revelation of who I am in Christ so I can see myself the way you see me. I ask that you give me insight and clarity to see beyond the physical realm when dealing with the circumstances I come across daily. Give me a greater revelation of your Word and let it dwell in me richly.

I pray that I will hide Your Word in my heart and apply it to my actions. I ask that you give me the spirit of knowledge to fathom the deep things of your heart beyond my human comprehension, perception, and imagination. With your divine knowledge operating in me, I can thrive and function in your supernatural dimension to fulfill your will and plan for my life.

Holy Spirit, I pray for the spirit of understanding to enable me to discern and understand the language of the Spirit, and the different ways by which you speak to me. I ask that you fill me with your spirit of counsel toenablemetoadviseandguideothersintherightdirection.Fillme withyourpowertoaccomplishgreatthingsforthe Kingdom of God. When I am weak, fill me with your strength. Help me to fulfill all that is written in my mandate daily. When I feel tired and drained, help me to rely on your power to work and perfect all things through me in Jesus name.

Day 5
Reveal Your Glory to Me

Then Moses said, “Now show me your glory.” (Exodus 33:18)

Heavenly Father, I ask that your divine presence will go with me, and you will make your home in me. I pray that your light will shine continually in and through me towards others. Be with me in all my endeavors, and in my daily journey. Remove any form of rebellion from my heart and give me a listening ear and heart of obedience. I take off all that will be a hindrance to my complete obedience to you, and I surrender to your guidance, decisions, will, and purpose for my life.

You, Lord, are the source of life, and you alone can satisfy and fill the void in my heart. I pray that you will continually impress your thoughts upon my heart and give me a hunger and a thirst for the things of your Kingdom.

Help me not to make decisions outside of your will, but to be continually connected to the things of your heart and your desire for my life. I know that you have given me the freedom to make choices and decisions, but I don’t want to do so without your input, so I ask that you make my decisions for me. I pray that you will reveal more of yourself to me and show me your glory. Thank you for your grace and compassion over my life in Jesus name.

Day 6
Your Love for Me

“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness (Jeremiah 31:3)

Lord, you are my Heavenly Father, and you have always been there for me even when I could not feel your presence. You said you are the Father of the Orphan and the Defender of the Widow (Psalm 68:5). Your love for me is unconditional, and I see that in my life every day. Whenever I make mistakes, you don’t treat me with condemnation, but you correct me in love.

When the events of life and circumstances around me try to overshadow the impact of your love for me, help me not to cave in, but to fix my eyes on your love for me. Help me to see you smile over me, and when I go through trials and challenges, help me to see you are in the fire with me.

Reveal more of your love to me, and let your love be poured out through me to others. I pray that I will not focus on negative events around me, but I will look to you and see what you are doing behind the scenes. Help me to remember that you are on the throne, and you rule in the kingdom of men (Daniel 4:17). I pray that you will always rule in my affairs.

Let me experience your love every moment of the day and cover me with the rainbow of your love. I embrace you and all that you are.

Ibreatheinyourlove asIdancewithyou.IpraythatIwillalways experience your love. I pray that I will share this love with those around me, and others that have not known such unconditional love in their lives in Jesus name.

Day 7
Light, Hope, Joy, And Strength

“But those who hope in the LORD, will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)

Heavenly Father, your light shines through the darkness, and the darkness cannot overcome it (John 1:5). The presence of your light is invaluable in my life. Let it shine into every

area of my life and through me, wherever I am. When you start something, you will always finish it. You never leave me halfway or turn your back on me. I pray that you shine your light on my path as I go on my daily journey in life. With your light shining in my life and your hope, joy, and strength sustaining me, it will be impossible for me to miss the way.

Sometimes I may not see what you are doing behind the scenes in my life, job, home, relationships, or in my nation. At such times, open the eyes of my spirit to see your presence and to recognize that you are working all things out for my good.

As a child of the Light, help me by your Spirit to stand against the darkness that may want to confront your light in me. Where I need healing, let your light shine through my illness and pain, bringing health and wholeness. Where I need a glimpse of hope, let your light shine through the dark clouds, restoring and bringing in a new dawn of your glory; a reminder of the rainbow of your promise to me.

Where I need encouragement, let your light shine through, destroying every yoke of oppression and depression. Let it refresh me and fill me with renewed joy, peace, hope, and love. Where I feel let down by others, let your light shine through my experiences of disappointment and betrayal. Let your light renew my heart and soul, and give me the strength to hold on to your strong arms, as you pull me out of the miry clay and set my feet on the rock (Psalm 40:2).

Heavenly Father, you are the Father of light, hope, joy, and mighty strength. All your ways are perfect, and there is no darkness in you.
