Meet Gigi and Geoff. These two siblings set off on an adventure through the country of China. With the first stop in Beijing, they will take the reader all through the country. Children are introduced to historical landmarks such as Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City to the Temple of Heaven, where they celebrate the Lunar New Year.

Activities are at every stopping point such as eating lotus leaf rice, dumplings, and barbecued squid. In Chengdu, they visit with pandas, and of course, stop by the Great Wall of China. At the end of the book, informational material is available for discussion and reference. Included are the topography of China as well as information on ruling dynasties, Chinese inventions such as porcelain, silk, and gunpowder, and games children play such as Jianzi, and the martial arts, Kung Fu.

This adventure, filled with colorful illustrations, will immerse the reader in the customs and culture of China while introducing them to historical landmarks, foods and festivals of the country. Recommended for ages 6-9.
